In 2004 Caritas became the distribution center for gifts-in-kind products distributed to local and state-wide charities through the Wal-Mart Return Center which is located in Waco. Caritas receives warehouses items and distributes hundreds of thousands of pounds of much needed paper and household items to charitable organizations and food banks serving people in need. Agencies receiving these products are asked to defray Caritas' costs through a very reasonable handling fee of $.18 per pound. Hundreds of thousands of people receive the benefits of this program. Please contact Gifts in Kind Supervisor Carolyn Hursts if you're organization would like to know more.
